How to Create Vector Text in Illustrator
Creating vector text in Adobe Illustrator is a great way to ensure your text remains sharp and clear when resizing. Vector text is also great for creating logos and other graphics that need to be scalable. Follow these steps to learn how to create vector text in Illustrator.

Step 1: Open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document.
Step 2: Select the Text Tool from the Toolbar.
Step 3: Click and drag on the artboard to create a text box.
Step 4: Type in your desired text.
Step 5: Select the text with the Selection Tool.

Step 6: To outline the text, use the keyboard shortcut: Shift + Command + O for Mac; Shift + Control + O for PC.
Step 7: The text will now be outlined and vectorized.

• You can also outline text by going to Type > Create Outlines.
• To edit the text after outlining it, select the Direct Selection Tool and click on the individual points of the text.
• To delete a point, select it and press the Delete key.
• To add a point, select the Pen Tool and click on the line where you want to add the point.
